Sail to St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Begin in Kingstown with a simple pre-departure stop that adds context to the island: Fort Charlotte sits above the harbor and was completed in 1806, built after construction began in 1763. If you prefer something softer, the Botanical Gardens are an easy visit before boarding, with their 1765 founding date and conservation focus. 

Cruise south to Bequia and settle into Admiralty Bay. The harbor is known for sheltered anchoring and a strong yachting community, with Port Elizabeth a straightforward tender ride away. For an early afternoon reset, take a swim off the stern, then step ashore for a short walk through town or a visit to the waterfront boatyards. Bequia’s maritime culture is widely associated with fishing, boat building, sailing, and whaling heritage, and you feel that character most clearly along the bay. 

Depart mid morning and arrive into Britannia Bay with time to secure a mooring and settle before lunch. Mooring guidance for the bay emphasizes using designated areas and protecting the marine environment, and many operators advise that anchoring is restricted. 

Keep the afternoon low effort and well chosen: a swim stop off the yacht, then a short drive to Macaroni Beach for a change of shoreline, or a quiet walk along the bay road. For a simple evening plan, schedule a sunset drink at Basil’s Bar, then return on board for dinner once the shore energy drops.

Today is about the water. Arrive into the Tobago Cays with the light high enough for comfortable navigation and reef visibility, then choose a position inside the lagoon based on conditions and park guidance. The marine park is often described as a sand bottom lagoon framed by small cays and Horseshoe Reef, with management oversight and established regulations. 

Plan the day in three movements: a long snorkel session, a short hike on one of the cays for a higher viewpoint, then a late afternoon swim when the anchorage quiets again. If you want a local tradition that feels appropriate rather than staged, arrange a beach barbecue through the park’s established operators and keep the evening simple, good food, low light, and the yacht settled for the night. 

Depart after breakfast for the return leg to St. Vincent, aiming for Blue Lagoon as a comfortable finishing point. Once anchored, the afternoon can be practical or restorative depending on your timing. If you want one last on shore detail, return into Kingstown for a short visit to the Botanical Gardens.
