Spend the afternoon in Smuggler Cove, an all weather anchorage with a sheltered feel and an easy trail ashore when you want a change of scene. Return to the yacht for an early evening at anchor, with the kind of stillness that makes dinner feel unhurried. 

Cruise north into Pender Harbour, a well protected cruising area with marinas, fuel, and a calm setting for a slower day. The afternoon is kept open by design: a gentle tender ride through the harbor, a swim when the water feels inviting, or simply time on deck with no plan beyond comfort. 

Today is about one focused passage into Jervis Inlet and onward to Princess Louisa Marine Park. The entrance at Malibu Rapids requires timing, and once inside the inlet the water often feels notably calmer, with steep valley walls and very little sense of open sea. By late afternoon, arrive at the head of the inlet for Chatterbox Falls, a classic stop for boaters in British Columbia, best enjoyed quietly from the cockpit or on a short walk ashore.

Depart early to take advantage of smooth morning conditions, retracing your route through Malibu Rapids and continuing north toward Desolation Sound. The afternoon is reserved for settling into your first anchorage within the marine park, where the geography naturally encourages a slower pace: short tender hops, easy swims, and quiet time in the cockpit as the day softens. Desolation Sound Marine Park is defined by its many bays and coves, which makes it well suited to private cruising.

Keep the yacht moving only as needed, shifting between a few nearby anchorages to match the day’s conditions. This is a day for simple pleasures: a longer swim, a kayak session along the shoreline, and a relaxed lunch served without interruption. The park’s warm season can bring notably comfortable water in protected bays, which suits a full day on and in the water without needing a schedule. 

Begin the return south with an early departure, keeping the passage steady and direct. Arrive back into Pender Harbour by late afternoon, reentering a sheltered cruising area that makes disembarkation logistics easy and calm. The final evening is best kept simple: an early dinner on board, and a quiet night at anchor.
